Signals are Eating the Web

Thumbnail of exclusive video Signals are Eating the Web

People just won’t shut up about Signals.

And for good reason! As I wrote over on That HTML Blog, the signals primitive offers an exciting path forward for reactivity on the web and one which might actually get added to the native web platform in the not-so-distant future. In the meantime, it’s worthwhile to look closely at the one of the more popular implementations by the Preact team to see how they can be used to make authoring components less error-prone, more performant, and with the ability to consume shared state in an incredibly straightforward manner. Plus we can easily drop down to vanilla JavaScript & DOM at any time, even inside of a typical Preact component. Best of both worlds? Just maybe!
